Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spar Bott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase comes to the cage accompanied by Who Made Who. The key to victory for Eric Chase has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bott! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Chase fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chase gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bott tries to break free but Chase pushes him back against the cage. Chase's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chase as he avoids it easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Chase breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bott looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Chase is looking to escape. Bott is taking a breather. Chase says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bott trying to control the action but Chase is working from the bottom. Chase is trying to stand back up but Bott is controlling him
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spar Bott has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Bott shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bott showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chase is trying to stand up here but Bott is controlling him well. Bott wants to take a breather but Chase is having none of it. Chase wants to get back to his feet. Bott wants to take a breather but Chase is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bott is controlling the pace.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Spar Bott. Chase throws a right hand that Bott ducks under and follows up with a left that Bott also avoids with ease. Bott fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chase sprawls well initially but Bott persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Still in half guard, Bott seems content to control. Bott wants to get back to his feet.
Chase is trying to stand up here but Bott is controlling him well. Bott is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Chase is trying to stand.
Chase is staying active underneath Bott, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Spar Bott. Bott tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chase swivels and escapes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chase moves into range and clinches up with Bott. Bott tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chase just stands there and leans against the cage. Eric Chase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spar Bott. Chase breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chase misses with a double jab.
Chase tries to clinch up but Bott circles away and keeps his distance. Bott tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chase was well out of range. Poor timing from Bott. Bott moves in looking to clinch but Chase pushes him off. Chase throws a series of punches but Bott avoids them all with ease. Chase misses with a two punch combination.
Eric Chase is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Chase manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Chase swinging wildly here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bott wants to clinch up but Chase keeps it at a distance. Bott moves away from the strike by Chase. Chase misses with a wild combination.
Bott closes the distance and clinches up with Chase, looking for a takedown. Bott pushes Chase against the cage but Chase circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bott closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chase circles away. Chase tries to clinch up. Nice takedown defense from Chase. No joy for Bott on that attempt. Bott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chase looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bott tries to score with some ground and pound. Chase controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Bott scores with punches from side control. Chase is pushing Bott's head away, looking to escape. Bott manages to hold on to the position though. Chase is not content to let Bott control the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Chase trying to remain calm as Bott controls from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chase is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Bott should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bott cracks Chase with an elbow. That is naaassty. Bott trying to control the position but Chase is working away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chase wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Bott is looking to take a break and control but Chase is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Spar Bott dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Bott tries for a takedown but Chase sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Chase fails in his attempt to clinch. Chase wants to clinch up but Bott keeps it at a distance. Chase swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chase lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bott circles away quickly and effectively. Bott throws a head kick that misses. Bott shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chase but Chase pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chase scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Spar Bott has been cut. Chase throws a head kick but Bott moves out of range.
Bott shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bott was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Chase's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Chase trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Bott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chase. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bott tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Spar Bott has got the better of the ground game so far. Bott is in the full mount, landing strikes. Bott tries to control but Chase wriggling away. Bott content just to control the position here. Chase tries to buck Bott off but he can't manage it. Bott looking to control and managing it successfully. Chase is squirming around, avoiding Bott's attempts to control the action. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bott controlling the pace for now.

Bott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chase swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bott shoots in but Chase avoids the takedown attempt easily. Eric Chase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spar Bott. A right-left combo lands from Chase. This has been an exciting period of action! Bott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chase as he avoids it easily. Bott has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Chase. Bott is looking to clinch. Bott on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Eric Chase is winning the standup battle so far. Chase has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chase breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chase lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Bott out cold! Bott is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
