Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Hawkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Harrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrington comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Elevation kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Stephen Hawkin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Harrington's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkin closes the distance and clinches. Harrington is trying to break the clinch but Hawkin is controlling him. A frustrated look appears on Harrington's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hawkin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hawkin misses with a hook. Harrington ducked under it nicely. Hawkin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A slow jab from Hawkin misses its intended target. Horrible takedown by Harrington or perhaps it was just good defense by Hawkin which made him look bad. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A swing and a miss from Hawkin.

Harrington is trying to break the clinch but Hawkin has him pressed against the cage. Harrington tries to pull guard but Hawkin forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Harrington is trying to break free.
Hawkin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hawkin darts in and clinches Harrington up against the cage.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkin just leaning against Harrington, taking a breather. Harrington wants to get back to striking at distance but Hawkin won't allow it.

Harrington gets caught napping as Hawkin dives in and scores a takedown. Harrington manages to retain guard. Hawkin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hawkin wants to stand but Harrington is controlling his posture from full guard. Hawkin throws a strike but Harrington rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Harrington stops Hawkin from standing up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harrington accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Harrington stopping the sweep attempt from Hawkin. Hawkin wants to stand up but Harrington is controlling him. Harrington controls from within his opponent's guard.
Harrington gets to his feet. Hawkin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hawkin has closed the distance and engaged Harrington in a clinch.
Hawkin is trying to break the clinch but Harrington has him pressed against the cage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Hawkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hawkin moves into the clinch. Hawkin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Harrington has him pressed against the cage. Hawkin looking to slow down the pace here.

Hawkin gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Harrington regains guard.
Harrington kicks Hawkin off and gets to his feet. Hawkin throws a wild body kick that Harrington sees coming a mile off.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Harrington works over Hawkin's head and body with a nice combination. Harrington tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawkin swats him away and circles back towards the center. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hawkin swats away the attempt to clinch by Harrington. Harrington is looking to clinch but Hawkin is avoiding it.
Harrington moves into the clinch. Harrington keeps control of Hawkin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hawkin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Harrington tries to score a body lock takedown but Hawkin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Stephen Hawkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Harrington. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hawkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Stephen Hawkin dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hawkin moves into the clinch. Hawkin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Harrington is keeping busy. Hawkin tries to break free but Harrington pushes him back against the cage.
Hawkin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hawkin misses with a hook.

Hawkin tightens his grip and picks Harrington up, before dumping him to the ground. Harrington manages to land in guard. Hawkin looking to sit in guard and control but Harrington gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Harrington slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
 OK we're going to have a standup here. John Harrington hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hawkin blocks a low kick nicely. Harrington tries to work over Hawkin's front leg with a kick but Hawkin checks it.
Hawkin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hawkin wants to stand but Harrington is controlling his arm.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harrington sneaks out the side door and pushes Hawkin away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Harrington is breathing heavily. A punch combination from Hawkin misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Hawkin. Harrington does a little dance to reset his feet. Harrington shoots in looking for a takedown but Hawkin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Harrington's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Harrington tries to clinch but Hawkin moves out of range. Stephen Hawkin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Harrington changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hawkin tries to avoid it but Harrington manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hawkin to the ground. Hawkin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Harrington pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hawkin is out of range and Harrington settles back down. Harrington tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hawkin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Harrington tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hawkin swivels and escapes. Stephen Hawkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Harrington. Hawkin swats away the attempt to clinch by Harrington.

Hawkin jumps guard and drags Harrington to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Harrington controlling from the top position. Hawkin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Harrington showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Hawkin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harrington napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hawkin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Harrington is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hawkin tries to stand but Harrington is controlling his head. Hawkin tries to stand but Harrington controls the position and pulls Hawkin into his guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harrington manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Harrington takes the fight into the clinch. Hawkin keeps control of Harrington as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Harrington tries to break free but Hawkin pushes him back against the cage. Harrington has had enough of the clinch but Hawkin keeps him there for the moment. With the fighters up against the cage, Hawkin throws an elbow but misses. Harrington tries to break free but Hawkin pushes him back against the cage. Harrington wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Harrington changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hawkin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hawkin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Harrington takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hawkin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Harrington, pushing him back against the cage. Hawkin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Harrington has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Harrington is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hawkin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Hawkin shoots in and gets a takedown into Harrington's guard. Hawkin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Harrington controls Hawkin momentarily but Hawkin frees himself. Hawkin trying to control but Harrington is working from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hawkin wanted to stand there but Harrington had control of the position. Harrington throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Hawkin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Harrington looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Harrington looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Harrington!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkin is looking to reverse the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harrington controlling the position from side mount. Hawkin is trying to control Harrington's posture but Harrington avoids it. Hawkin seems a little lost for a moment, as Harrington dominates the positioning. Hawkin tries to escape but Harrington is in control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harrington stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Harrington has taken the fight to the clinch.
Harrington avoids a wild elbow strike from Hawkin.
Hawkin breaks from the clinch.
Harrington moves out of range as Hawkin strikes. Harrington does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hawkin gets in close and instigates a clinch. John Harrington has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hawkin swings wildly with an uppercut but Harrington uses good head movement to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harrington can't break the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Stephen Hawkin showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hawkin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Stephen Hawkin! After the fight, Stephen Hawkin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
