Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sanchez wants it to stay on the feet.
Sanchez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ruffa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sanchez.
Ruffa shoots and misses
and Sanchez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ruffa has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Ruffa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sanchez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ruffa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Sanchez counters with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanchez moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Rick Ruffa has been cut.
Ruffa is breathing heavily.
Sanchez sizes up Ruffa with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ruffa closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ruffa loses concentration momentarily and Sanchez pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Ruffa crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Sanchez finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
