Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kamil Piechu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anhel Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kamil Piechu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anhel Batista!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista defending well as Piechu loads up on a big left hand.
Batista lands a slapping body shot.
Piechu shoots in for a double leg but Batista sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Piechu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Batista.
Piechu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Batista connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Batista lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Kamil Piechu has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Batista closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Anhel Batista has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Batista changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Piechu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Batista remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Batista is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Piechu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Piechu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Piechu tries to get out of the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anhel Batista.

Batista jumps guard and drags Piechu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Batista is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Piechu is controlling him.

Piechu is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Batista is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Batista seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Piechu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Batista has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Piechu has managed to get both his arms back between Batista's legs - danger averted.

That's time! Piechu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Batista goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Piechu turns into him and now he's in Batista's guard.
Piechu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Batista looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Piechu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well Batista has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
