0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Cash! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cash tries for a takedown but Dos Santos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cash misses with the combination.

and Cash counters by clinching up. Cash is looking to take this one to the mat. Cash lands a nice shot to the body. Dos Santos can't break the clinch.
Cash goes for a takedown attempt but Dos Santos pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Cash seems content to control. Cash decides to stand and escape the position. Dos Santos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cash counters with a nice double leg into guard. Cash trying to control the position from guard on top but Dos Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cash is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cash gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cash lands a hook to the side of the head. Cash keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dos Santos's efforts to push away. Dos Santos wants to get back to striking at distance but Cash won't allow it.

Cash breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Giovanni Dos Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dos Santos tries to bum rush Cash with a series of wild strikes but Cash uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dos Santos slaps away a takedown attempt from Cash, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cash jumps guard and drags Dos Santos to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Cash looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dos Santos wants to stand but Cash is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cash manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dos Santos manages to get himself to full guard.
Cash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cash advances to half guard. Dos Santos is trying to stand up here but Cash is controlling him well. Dos Santos is defending against the submission attempts here by Cash.
John Cash has got the better of the ground game so far. Cash is nestled in close to Dos Santos, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Cash is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dos Santos defends it well. Cash decides to return to a standing position. Cash is breathing heavily. Cash clinches up with Dos Santos and pushes him back against the cage. Cash pushes off an throws an elbow but Dos Santos leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Cash misses with a body punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cash throws a nice looking combination but Dos Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dos Santos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jab, jab by Dos Santos - just one landing. Cash darts in and clinches Dos Santos up against the cage. Cash keeps control of Dos Santos as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cash fails to pull the fight into his guard.

John Cash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Cash must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dos Santos is looking to stand up but Cash isn't so interested in that idea.

Cash throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Dos Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cash. That's two minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos tries to keep at a distance but Cash has taken the fight into the clinch. Dos Santos is trying to break the clinch but Cash has him pressed against the cage. Dos Santos can't find room to land a body shot as Cash controls the action.

Dos Santos wants to get up but he can't break Cash's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cash has control of Dos Santos's left arm, preventing Dos Santos from doing any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cash working a defensive guard but Dos Santos manages to pass into side control anyway.

And that's the end of the fight! John Cash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cash has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
