Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Kreese!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreese doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Butler counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kreese throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Butler's waist but Butler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kreese off to one side.
Kreese moves out of range as Butler strikes.
Kreese closes this distance looking for a takedown but Butler circles away.
Paul Butler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Kreese.
Butler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kreese.

and Butler counters with a left to the body.
Kreese keeps the fight on the outside.
John Kreese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butler throws a series of strikes that have Kreese backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Butler wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kreese walks into a stiff left hand from Butler.


Kreese is rocked!
Kreese takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kreese is still on wobbly legs! Can Butler finish him?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kreese throws a wild hook but Butler just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Kreese gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Butler raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Butler!
