Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Malcomn Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hetfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hetfield is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by seek & destroy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hetfield tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Brown makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hetfield throws a head kick but Brown moves out of range.
Hetfield throws a head kick that misses.
Brown throws a jab when Hetfield was well out of range.
Hetfield throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease.
Hetfield is looking to clinch.
James Hetfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown misses the jab.
Hetfield throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hetfield avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brown lands a glancing blow to the side of Hetfield's head.
Hetfield swings for the body but Brown moves out of range.

Brown dives in and scores a takedown into Hetfield's guard.

Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hetfield swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hetfield keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully.
Hetfield wants to get back to his feet but Brown is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hetfield really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Brown working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hetfield's head.

Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Hetfield has wrist control.

Hetfield is not content to let Brown control the position.

Brown tries for a kimura but Hetfield is defending well.
Brown misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hetfield parries the strikes from Brown easily there. Brown is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hetfield to escape.

Brown has an Americana. Hetfield didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Brown is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Brown hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
