PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otavio Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabbit has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Otavio Nogueira will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogueira shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rabbit's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Nogueira postures up in Rabbit's guard and throws a big left but Rabbit blocks it.

Nogueira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Nogueira controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rabbit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Nogueira is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Rabbit is breathing heavily.

Nogueira closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rabbit did well to prevent Nogueira getting side control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nogueira accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nogueira has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rabbit defend it? Nogueira steps over the head and cranks it - Rabbit is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nogueira!
