Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Danush Towraghondi!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Towraghondi swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Hitch shoots in and bounces Towraghondi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hitch scoring with some ground and pound.

Hitch drops back looking for a leg! Towraghondi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Towraghondi manages to kick Hitch off! Hitch jumps back into Towraghondi's guard.
Hitch is looking to work some ground and pound but Towraghondi has wrist control.
Hitch trying to control the position from guard on top but Towraghondi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Towraghondi holds on and takes a little breather.
Towraghondi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hitch wants to control from the top but Towraghondi keeps moving.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Towraghondi can do anything to dispel that myth.

We're going to have a standup here because Sack Hitch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Hitch gets caught napping as Towraghondi dives in and scores a takedown. Hitch manages to retain guard.

Hitch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Towraghondi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Towraghondi wants to pass the guard but Hitch is keeping the position.

Towraghondi works over Hitch with some ground and pound from guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hitch is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Towraghondi wants to control from the top but Hitch keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Towraghondi distracts Hitch with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Towraghondi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Towraghondi wants to pass the guard but Hitch is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hitch has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Towraghondi doesn't defend quickly enough and Hitch has managed to lock this one up! Can Towraghondi escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hitch on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sack Hitch!
