Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rolo Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Taker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Rolo Reese has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Reese as Taker shoots in.

Taker scores with a takedown into Reese's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Taker throws a big elbow that misses.

Reese is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Taker is aware though and is defending well.
Taker wants to control from the top but Reese keeps moving.
Taker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Taker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reese works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Reese escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Taker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Taker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Reese seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Reese swats away the attempt to clinch by Taker.
Reese throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Taker throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Reese tries to close the distance and clinch but Taker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Reese uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taker.
Reese leaves Taker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reese shoots in looking for a takedown but Taker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reese's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reese blocks a leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reese manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Taker manages to get himself to full guard.

Taker is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Taker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reese gets the underhooks and prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Taker dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Horrible takedown by Taker or perhaps it was just good defense by Reese which made him look bad.

and Taker counters with a single leg into guard. Reese didn't expect that.

Taker stuffs the takedown.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reese misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Taker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reese manages to avoid it.

Taker shoots for a takedown but Reese saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Taker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reese but Reese pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rolo Reese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Taker.

Taker throws a punch but it's blocked by Reese.

Reese is trying to drag Taker to the mat but Taker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Reese keeps control of Taker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Reese has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Taker regains guard immediately.
Taker is looking to stand up but Reese isn't so interested in that idea.
Jim Taker has got the better of the ground game so far.

Taker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taker shoots for a double leg takedown but Reese sprawls well. He's pushed Taker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Taker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Taker throws a lazy uppercut
and Reese counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Taker missing with a left hand there. Reese was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Reese throws a series of punches but Taker moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Reese.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reese is looking to clinch.
Taker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reese sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taker somewhat.
Reese tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Taker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Taker drives through with a takedown into Reese's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reese looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A close second round but Jim Taker will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Reese is rocked!
Reese is trying desperately to improve position.
Oh Reese is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Taker lands a big shot there that rocks Reese but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Taker lands a nice shot to the head.
Taker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Taker working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Taker with shots to the head and body - Reese looks very uncomfortable down there.
Taker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Reese's face.
Taker is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Taker postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Reese badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Taker around the waist but Taker pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Taker is the winner by TKO! Taker jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
