The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juarez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jennings manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Danga de danga de dang - Jennings scores with a four punch combination! Juarez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Bobby Jennings has been cut. Jennings throws a head kick but Juarez moves out of range.
Jennings darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jennings seems to be working for a kimura but Juarez defends the submission attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jennings is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Juarez has managed to free his arm - good work. Jennings decides to stand and escape the position. Jennings gets a trip takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jennings throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Juarez on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jennings is trying to work for a kimura but Juarez is defending well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Juarez manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jennings advances to half guard. Juarez tries to roll over but Jennings keeps him under control. Jennings is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jennings is looking for a kimura but Juarez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jennings to get the leverage. Jennings is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Juarez sees it coming and defends easily. Jennings prevents Juarez from improving his position. Jennings is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jennings is working for a kimura here but Juarez manages to reverse the position and he's now in Jennings's guard.
