Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lex Vanhorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vanhorn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Coming Undone. Pudzianowski has chosen Pudzian Band - Dawaj na ring as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Lex Vanhorn has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lex Vanhorn seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanhorn dives in and grabs Pudzianowski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pudzianowski pushes down on Vanhorn's head and hops out.
Pudzianowski lands a jab.
Pudzianowski circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vanhorn doesn't manage to clinch there - Pudzianowski circles away.
Vanhorn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Vanhorn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pudzianowski can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vanhorn jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pudzianowski manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Vanhorn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vanhorn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pudzianowski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

You can see the frustration on Pudzianowski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vanhorn misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Pudzianowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pudzianowski pushes Vanhorn away with a front kick.
Vanhorn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pudzianowski can pounce on him.
Pudzianowski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pudzianowski gets in close and instigates a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pudzianowski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vanhorn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pudzianowski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vanhorn somewhat.

and Pudzianowski counters with a left and a right that stings Vanhorn.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lex Vanhorn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pudzianowski darts in and clinches Vanhorn up against the cage.
Pudzianowski gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Vanhorn is landing with some decent strikes but Pudzianowski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Pudzianowski looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Vanhorn! Submission of the night perhaps?
