Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Troy Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Everaldo Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Evans Entrance kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Everaldo Jorge told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Everaldo Jorge has been cut.
Washington tries to clinch there but Jorge circles away.
Jorge fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Washington checks it well.
Washington shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jorge pinned against the cage. Jorge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jorge shoots in but no luck this time.
Washington chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jorge can pounce on him.

Jorge throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Washington.
Jorge feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Washington had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jorge is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Washington Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jorge's back instead.
Jorge manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Jorge.

Jorge parries the strikes from Washington easily there. Washington is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jorge to escape.
Washington is looking to take a break and control but Jorge is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Washington tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
