Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sergiy Sklyar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miquel Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sklyar comes into the arena with Scarface - No Tears blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sklyar has a takedown stuffed.
Mendoza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sklyar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mendoza is one step ahead there.

Sklyar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mendoza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mendoza manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mendoza looking to sit in guard and control but Sklyar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sklyar cracks Mendoza with a solid left hand.
Sklyar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Sklyar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Sklyar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sklyar is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mendoza has momentary wrist control but Sklyar slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sklyar distracts Mendoza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sklyar lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Sklyar pushes down on Mendoza's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sklyar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sklyar passes the guard and advances to mount!
Sklyar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mendoza's face.
Sklyar wants to control but instead Mendoza manages to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sklyar uses his free foot to push down on Mendoza's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mendoza.
Mendoza is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sklyar lands a big shot there that rocks Mendoza but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sklyar breaks from Mendoza's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Sklyar! Mendoza is hurt baaadly! Sklyar is firing away with more strikes - Mendoza is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
