Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hymen Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bertus Eppinga! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eppinga throws a looping overhand right but Hunter ducks down to avoid it. Eppinga shoots in looking for a takedown but Hunter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eppinga's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Eppinga misses with a kick to the body and Hunter counters with a head kick. Hunter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Eppinga throws a leg kick but Hunter sees it coming and checks it nicely. A good leg kick by Hunter. Both fighters circling a little - Hunter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Eppinga takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Bertus Eppinga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunter throws the left hand but Eppinga avoids the punch easily. Hunter goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Hunter throws a sloppy head kick and Eppinga moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eppinga tries to clinch but fails miserably and Hunter counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Eppinga is lucky that one didn't land flush. Eppinga throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hunter counters with a body kick. Eppinga takes a head kick and keeps coming.
No luck for Eppinga with that takedown attempt. Eppinga moves to clinch but Hunter breaks away and Hunter counters with a head kick that drops Eppinga to the mat! Eppinga scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Eppinga is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunter keeps Eppinga at a distance using the push kick. Eppinga looks gassed! Hunter moves out of range of the body kick. Hunter throws a head kick but Eppinga moves out of range.
Hunter lands a big head kick that sends Eppinga tumbling to the mat! Hunter takes a step backwards and waves Eppinga back to his feet - he wants the finish! Eppinga is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunter finish him? Hunter throws a sloppy head kick and Eppinga counters with a big head kick but Hunter shrugs it off. Eppinga seems to have recovered his senses. Hunter cracks the inside of Eppinga's front leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunter wants it to stay on the feet. Hymen Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bertus Eppinga. Eppinga misses with a kick to the body and Hunter makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hunter.
Hunter lands a big head kick that sends Eppinga tumbling to the mat! Hunter takes a step backwards and waves Eppinga back to his feet - he wants the finish! Hunter lands a brutal head kick. Eppinga looks out on his feet and Hunter throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Hymen Hunter! Hymen Hunter decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
