Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clubber Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clubber Lane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lenny Butler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clubber Lane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lenny Butler! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lane.
Lane falls off balance throwing a combination
and Butler counters with a solid body kick. Butler closes the distance and pushes Lane back into the cage. Butler has Lane pressed against the cage, preventing Lane from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Butler jumps guard and drags Lane to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Butler can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Butler has Lane pulled in close to control his posture. Lane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Butler on the ground. Butler trying to control the position.
Butler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lane. Lane trying to control the position from guard on top but Butler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Butler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lane drops back, looking for a kneebar! Butler looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Butler looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Butler! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Butler prevents Lane from escaping the position. Lane tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Butler easily slips into full mount! Butler with a couple of short strikes. Lane taking shots to the head. Lane tries to improve his position but instead Butler has taken his back! Lane is in bad spot here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butler controlling from the back. It looks like Butler might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Lane has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Butler looking for the choke but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butler lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Oooh a big shot gets through from Butler. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Butler is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lane has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Lane trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Butler controlling the position well here. Lane rolled but Butler kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Lane covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Will Butler go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Butler lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Lane defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Butler's arms. Lane is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Butler is looking to finish with some ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lenny Butler dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lane misses with a wild combination.
Lane throws a left and a right that both miss
and Butler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lane's guard now. Lane is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lane has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Butler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lane. Butler controls the position from side control. Butler works to advance to full mount. Lane defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Lane looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler throwing damaging strikes from the back! Lane could be in trouble here!
Lane is trying to stand back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Butler really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Lane. Lane is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Butler biding his time, controlling Lane.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butler is looking for the choke from the back position but Lane is controlling his hands well. Butler sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Lane taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lenny Butler!
