Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sakuragi Hanamichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikey Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sakuragi Hanamichi! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Kim misses. Kim lands a jab to the nose. Hanamichi tries to keep at a distance but Kim has taken the fight into the clinch. Kim manages to break the clinch.
Kim gets a takedown into half guard. Hanamichi is looking for a sweep. Kim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hanamichi with the active half guard here but Kim passes nicely into side control. Hanamichi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kim wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kim is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanamichi tries to improve position but can't. Hanamichi seems a little lost for a moment, as Kim dominates the positioning. Hanamichi sneaks back into half guard. Hanamichi is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kim pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hanamichi is looking to get back to full guard here but Kim has managed to pass to side control instead. Hanamichi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hanamichi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kim postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hanamichi looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim looking to control and managing it successfully. Hanamichi is working to get back to half guard.
Hanamichi looks gassed! Kim looking to control and managing it successfully. Kim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hanamichi on the ground. Kim prevents Hanamichi from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kim sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hanamichi working to try and regain half guard.
Kim controlling from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hanamichi is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A nice combination there by Kim.
Kim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hanamichi misses with a takedown and Kim counters with a single leg into guard. Hanamichi didn't expect that. Kim avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kim slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hanamichi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kim is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hanamichi. Hanamichi is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim in side control, just content to control the action for now. Hanamichi gets back to half guard. Kim is taking a breather. Hanamichi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Mikey Kim just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Kim fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A nice combination there by Kim.
A right-left combo lands from Kim. Kim moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kim gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kim breaks from the clinch.
Decent striking displayed by Kim there. Good leg kick by Kim there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kim closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kim lands in his opponent's guard. Kim has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kim sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hanamichi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kim passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanamichi is trying to get back to full guard. Kim is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kim controlling the pace for now. Hanamichi working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kim content just to control the position here. Hanamichi is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikey Kim dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Kim misses with a low kick. Kim uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Kim shoots in and bounces Hanamichi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hanamichi looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kim puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Hanamichi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kim's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kim's back! Hanamichi patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Hanamichi has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Hanamichi looking for the choke from the back. Hanamichi has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kim has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hanamichi doesn't have the hooks in and Kim manages to turn into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanamichi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hanamichi is looking for a triangle but Kim pushes his legs off easily.
Kim avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hanamichi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hanamichi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim is stalling in the full guard. Hanamichi wants to hit a switch here but Kim passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hanamichi there! Hanamichi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanamichi slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hanamichi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hanamichi is looking for a sweep. Kim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kim seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hanamichi moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanamichi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kim passes into side control.
Hanamichi is letting Kim control him for a moment. Hanamichi regains half guard. Mikey Kim overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kim slows the pace down in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Sakuragi Hanamichi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kim has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
