Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrian Ashoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Burning Heart. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrian Ashoka! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Steel misses with a hook. Ashoka ducked under it nicely. Ashoka tries to clinch and Steel counters with a right hand to the body. A head kick misses from Ashoka. Ashoka walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ashoka takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Steel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Steel avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Steel feints a jab promting Ashoka to slip. Steel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ashoka slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ashoka throws a leg kick but Steel sees it coming and moves out of range. Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round. Steel throws out a loose jab but Ashoka uses good head movement to avoid it. Steel lands a jab-cross combination. Steel fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ashoka on the side of the head. Ashoka thows a body kick. Steel tries to catch it but that hurt him. Ashoka fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Steel is out of range. Steel takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ashoka scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ashoka lands a lovely overhand right. A combination from Ashoka does no damage. Steel checks a leg kick nicely. Steel avoids the head kick by Ashoka.
Steel throws a right and a left that both miss. Ashoka throws a leg kick which misses Steel's front leg but catches the back leg as Steel tries to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A combination from Steel does no damage. Ashoka misses with a double jab.
Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ashoka lets loose with a powerful body kick. Steel will feel that in the morning. Ashoka throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Steel is breathing heavily. Ashoka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Steel on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ashoka tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Steel is able to avoid easily. A leg kick checked by Steel. Ashoka throws a head kick but Steel moves out of range.
Ashoka fails in his attempt to clinch. Ashoka has closed the distance and engaged Steel in a clinch.

Steel blocks an elbow strike from Ashoka.
Ashoka lands with a light punch inside. Ashoka prevents Steel from breaking the clinch. Ashoka throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Steels head. Steel blocks an uppercut.
Ashoka misses with a short punch on the inside. Steel wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ashoka has him pressed against the cage. Steel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ashoka tries to work over Steel's front leg with a kick but Steel checks it. Steel pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Steel checks a leg kick. Ashoka tries to land a front kick but Steel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ashoka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Steel throws a series of punches but Ashoka avoids them all with ease. Steel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Steel is looking to wear down Ashoka with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ashoka lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Ashoka throws a head kick that misses. Ashoka throws a quick inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darrian Ashoka dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like John Steel has been cut. A chopping leg kick lands by Ashoka. Ashoka tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ashoka looks to throw the jab but Steel is out of range. Ashoka moves out of range as Steel strikes. John Steel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Steel stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ashoka. Ashoka throws out a loose jab but Steel uses good head movement to avoid it. Ashoka wants to land a leg kick but Steel is out of range. Some wild striking there from Steel.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A looping hook to the body misses from Ashoka. Steel does a little dance to reset his feet. Darrian Ashoka seems to be getting the better of the standup. A nice leg kick lands there from Ashoka.

Steel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ashoka counters with a solid body kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ashoka, right into the meat.

Ashoka thumps Steel with a low kick. Ashoka connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ashoka fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Steel on the side of the head. Steel is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Steel checks a leg kick. Ashoka throws a body punch but Steel moves out of range. Ashoka will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Steel takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Steel slips under a jab from Ashoka.

A head kick misses from Ashoka. Ashoka misses with a body kick. Steel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ashoka back to the cage. Steel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Ashoka slips a jab and a cross from Steel.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Ashoka in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Ashoka avoids the body shot from Steel.

Darrian Ashoka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab lands there for Ashoka. Ashoka throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Darrian Ashoka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on John Steel's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Ashoka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Nice defenses there by Steel. Steel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Steel takes a swing at Ashoka's ribcage but misses. Ashoka catches Steel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Steel just misses with a punch to the body.

Oh Steel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ashoka drops Steel with a naaaaasty hook - Steel is in real trouble here! Ashoka dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
