The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Gundy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Quintes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Van Gundy.
Migeal Quintes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quintes tries for a takedown but Van Gundy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Quintes shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Gundy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Quintes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Quintes darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Van Gundy tries to roll over but Quintes keeps him under control.
Quintes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Quintes is keen to just control but Van Gundy is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
