Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manlio Marconi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marconi comes to the cage accompanied by Hail Holy Queen. McCool has chosen I'm Shipping Up to Boston as his entrance music. Manlio Marconi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Peter McCool's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manlio Marconi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Peter McCool! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marconi lands with a cross. Marconi keeps the fight on the outside. Marconi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McCool. McCool tries to close the distance and clinch but Marconi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A big right from McCool misses. Peter McCool seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Donk. Marconi catches McCool right on the button with a cross. McCool shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marconi as he avoids it easily. McCool throws a body punch but Marconi moves out of range. McCool tries to close the distance and clinch but Marconi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Marconi throws a right hand that McCool ducks under and follows up with a left that McCool also avoids with ease. Marconi misses with a series of wild punches.
Marconi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. McCool connects with a single shot there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marconi lands a left and a right that send McCool crashing to the mat, dazed. Marconi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
McCool is rocked!
It looks like Peter McCool has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marconi staying out of range there. McCool is still on wobbly legs! Can Marconi finish him? McCool misses with a hook. McCool tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marconi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McCool somewhat. McCool tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marconi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. McCool seems to have recovered his senses. McCool gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. McCool throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marconi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McCool on the side of the head. A big left from McCool misses. Marconi feints with a jab and clips McCool right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! McCool is sent crashing into the canvas and Marconi leaps in for the kill! McCool tries to get to his feet but Marconi is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that McCool is in need of a savior and steps in!
