Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Prototype (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Blankenship (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blankenship has chosen Crazy Train as his entrance music. Shane Blankenship has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Prototype! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Blankenship! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prototype throws a right hand that Blankenship ducks under and follows up with a left that Blankenship also avoids with ease. Blankenship works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Prototype shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Blankenship counters by moving into the clinch. Prototype tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Blankenship drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Blankenship looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Prototype trying to control the position from guard on top but Blankenship is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Prototype slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Prototype stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blankenship swivels though and keeps the full guard. Blankenship trying to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Patrick Prototype. Blankenship moves into the clinch successfully.

Blankenship is trying to keep Prototype in close.
Prototype lands a couple of decent looking shots. Blankenship trying to keep a closed guard but Prototype is proving a slippery customer.
Blankenship has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Prototype is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Blankenship. Blankenship is trying to work for a sweep but Prototype has mounted him!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blankenship is just holding on here. Prototype manages to take his back.

Blankenship is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Prototype.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Blankenship can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prototype wants to control but Blankenship is keeping busy. Prototype is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Blankenship is tapping out! This one is all over!
