Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kasey Ballard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erek Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ballard comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Horton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Horton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ballard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ballard is looking to advance position but Horton has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Horton wants to control from the top but Ballard keeps moving.

Good leg kick by Ballard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Horton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Horton tries to clinch but Ballard is having none of it.
Ballard gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Horton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ballard pinned against the cage. Ballard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Horton.
Kasey Ballard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erek Horton.
Horton throws the kick towards the body but Ballard avoids it.
Ballard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Horton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ballard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horton is breathing heavily.

Ballard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Horton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ballard is in Horton's guard.
Ballard stands and steps away. Horton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ballard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Horton to the mat! Horton manages to get full guard.
Ballard chips away with some ground and pound.
Ballard controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ballard decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Horton, up you get!

Horton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ballard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ballard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Ballard has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Horton is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ballard yanks on the arm and Horton is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ballard.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kasey Ballard!
