Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kalam Mekhar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Lee!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee blocks a head kick by Mekhar.
Lee throws a body kick that misses.
Mekhar motions for Lee to come forward. Mekhar throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lee misses with a kick to the body.
Mekhar throws a head kick but Lee moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Mekhar 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mekhar throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mekhar slips a jab from Lee.
Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mekhar tries to move into range but Lee moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Mekhar is rocked!
Lee swings for the body but Mekhar moves out of range.
Lee throws a shot from downtown. Mekhar moves away and avoids it.
Lee lands a nice looking body shot.
Lee throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Mekhar finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mekhar misses with a kick to the body.
Lee fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Mekhar is breathing heavily.
Mekhar tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lee is able to avoid easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mekhar throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily.
Lee misses with a looping right.
Lee throws a head kick that misses.

Lee throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Mekhar tumbling to the canvas!
Oh Mekhar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee stands and throws Mekhar's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Let's hope that Lee has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mekhar seems to have got his legs back now.
Lee misses with the ground and pound.
Lee working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Lee connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mekhar some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mekhar avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lee.

Lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mekhar, who protects the arm well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mekhar is trying to buck Lee off.
The referee asks Lee politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lee prefers to stall for the moment though.
Lee's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Lee goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mekhar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lee but great work by Mekhar.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mekhar has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Lee works to full guard.

Lee pushes Mekhar off and gets back to his feet.
Lee checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Mekhar moves out of range as Lee throws a body kick.
Mekhar tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice body kick there by Mekhar.
Lee feints a jab and as Mekhar dips his head, Lee unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Mekhar right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Mekhar falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Lee smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kevin Lee!
A very excited looking Kevin Lee rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
