Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balls Deep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head has chosen Walk as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Balls Deep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rock Head!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deep throws out a loose jab but Head uses good head movement to avoid it.
Deep throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Deep gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Head to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Deep is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Head is controlling him.
Head working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Head stands up over Deep, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Head prevents Deep from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deep is working an open guard so Head takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Deep throws a left and a right that both miss

and Head counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Head is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Head working some strikes from top position.
Head advances to half guard.

Head is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Head uses his free foot to push down on Deep's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Deep.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Head is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Deep can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Deep is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Deep is in a horrible position here. Head smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Deep could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Head scoring with strikes but Deep is staying in there.
Head raining down shots from the mount!

Deep is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Head unloading with bombs!
Head breaks from Deep's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Head landing strikes from the mount and Deep is in trouble!


Deep is rocked!
Deep trying desperately to get to his feet.
Oh Deep is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Head postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Deep in real trouble here! The ref calls for Deep to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rock Head!
Our winner, Rock Head, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
