Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stone Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ehavoc Dugre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stone Phillips! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ehavoc Dugre! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips lands a slapping body shot.
Phillips throws a good cross that connects.
Phillips falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dugre counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Phillips's guard now. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Dugre sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ehavoc Dugre. Phillips throws a hook but Dugre blocks it. Phillips throws a big shot that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dugre ducks right into an uppercut from Phillips. Phillips swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Phillips looks to land a combination but Dugre avoids it well. Dugre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dugre displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Phillips throws out the jab. Danga de danga de dang - Phillips scores with a four punch combination! Dugre shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Dugre stops Phillips from getting back to his feet.
Dugre is looking to take a break and control but Phillips is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dugre trying to pass the guard but Phillips defending well. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Phillips misses with a body shot
and Dugre counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dugre trying to control from half guard but Phillips is working away. Dugre not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dugre keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Phillips looks to score with a jab to the body but Dugre is just out of range. Phillips throws a leg kick that misses. Phillips thuds a left hand into Dugre's body. Phillips swings for the body but Dugre moves out of range.
Phillips throws a jab when Dugre was well out of range. A jab from Phillips misses. Dugre closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Phillips to the mat! Phillips manages to get full guard. Dugre wants to control from the top but Phillips keeps moving. Dugre looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ehavoc Dugre was stalling too much, according to the referee. Phillips pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Phillips scores with a jab to the jaw. Phillips ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dugre moves away. Phillips swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice defenses there by Dugre. Stone Phillips is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dugre keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dugre blocks a low kick nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ehavoc Dugre dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Phillips misses with a wild body shot. Phillips stalks Dugre and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dugre's face. Dugre staggers backwards, shaken. Phillips throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dugre counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dugre. Phillips avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dugre showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. The fighters circling - Phillips throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Phillips scores with a body shot.

and Dugre counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ehavoc Dugre has got the better of the ground game so far. This has been an exciting period of action! Dugre stops Phillips from getting back to his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ehavoc Dugre hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Phillips pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Phillips takes a swing at Dugre's ribcage but misses. Phillips throws a hook but Dugre avoids it easily. Phillips throws a good cross that connects.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phillips misses with a few strikes there.
Dugre has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Phillips. Dugre steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Phillips. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Phillips misses with a looping right. Dugre on the wrong end of a nice hook. Phillips wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Phillips throws an off balance right hand
and Dugre decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Phillips's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dugre wants to pass the guard but Phillips is keeping the position. Phillips is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dugre is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dugre trying to control the position from guard on top but Phillips is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We're going to have a standup here because Stone Phillips wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Phillips ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dugre moves away. Dugre shoots in for a takedown but Phillips shows good takedown defense. Phillips misses with a wild body shot. Phillips throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Phillips misses with a body shot.

Ehavoc Dugre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Dugre sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Phillips's guard. Phillips wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dugre seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dugre wants to free his trapped foot but Phillips is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stone Phillips wasn't doing enough on the ground. Phillips throws a body punch but Dugre moves out of range. Phillips swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Phillips misses the jab. Dugre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phillips.
Phillips waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dugre. Phillips misses with a looping left. A punch combination from Phillips misses. Dugre misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Phillips throws a nice looking combination but Dugre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bone on bone clash there as Dugre blocks the leg kick.
Dugre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phillips.
Sloppy strikes from Phillips. Those never looked like landing. Phillips throws a hook but Dugre avoids it easily. Phillips scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dugre doesn't seem bothered though. Dugre gets the takedown into side control. Dugre looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Phillips is being controlled here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dugre lands a decent elbow from side control. Ehavoc Dugre is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Dugre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dugre is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Ehavoc Dugre comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dugre winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
