Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shinjo Tepanake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dak Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishii has chosen Insane in the membrane by Cypress Hill as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dak Ishii has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shinjo Tepanake's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinjo Tepanake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dak Ishii! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Ishii. Tepanake doesn't manage to clinch there - Ishii circles away.
Ishii darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ishii trying to advance position but Tepanake counters by regaining guard. Ishii preventing the sweep. Ishii slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Tepanake tries to improve position but can't. Check out the look on Ishii's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Ishii connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tepanake some visible discomfort.
Ishii has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ishii in side control lands a decent elbow. Ishii is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ishii seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tepanake is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ishii's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ishii's back! Ishii rolls, trying to escape but Tepanake keeps control of the position.

Tepanake has momentary wrist control but Ishii slips an elbow through the middle. Tepanake tries to strike from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ishii thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tepanake bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ishii's guard. Ishii is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tepanake stands up and waves to Ishii to follow him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tepanake doesn't manage to clinch there - Ishii circles away.
Ishii throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ishii bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Tepanake wants to clinch. Ishii circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ishii misses with a series of wild punches.
Ishii looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tepanake looks to land a body kick but Ishii moved away. Tepanake throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ishii changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tepanake looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Tepanake takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Tepanake manages to get back to half guard. Nice strikes from Ishii there. Ishii landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ishii is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishii looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ishii is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tepanake is just riding it out for now. Ishii eventually gives up the hold. Tepanake works his way to full guard. Good work. Tepanake utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tepanake avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ishii stopping the sweep attempt from Tepanake.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tepanake looks to land a combination but Ishii avoids it well. Tepanake has his takedown stuffed and Ishii counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dak Ishii dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Tepanake fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ishii punishes Tepanake's body with a nice straight punch. Tepanake wants to clinch and Ishii counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ishii lands a couple of decent looking shots. Tepanake lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ishii! Ishii is looking to improve his position but Tepanake isn't that keen on the idea. Tepanake landing strikes, looking to finish! Tepanake scoring with strikes but Ishii is staying in there. Ishii is desperately trying to improve his position but Tepanake has a good base and remains in mount. Ishii throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Ishii is trying to escape the mount.
Dak Ishii has got the better of the ground game so far. Tepanake working for a guillotine from mount but Ishii is in no mood to give up. Ishii is working to get back to half guard.
