Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carl Popov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Popov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hed Pe Judgement Day. Diamond is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Youth Gone Wild- Skid Row. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Popov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Diamond!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Diamond, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diamond ducks under a wild hook from Popov.
Diamond feints a jab promting Popov to slip. Diamond then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Popov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Carl Popov has been cut.
Popov tries to clinch but Diamond is having none of it.
Diamond jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Popov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Diamond counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Popov swings for the body but Diamond moves out of range.
Diamond misses with a straight left.
Popov dodges the punch combination from Diamond.
Diamond thuds a left hand into Popov's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diamond throws a right and a left that Popov avoids nicely.
Diamond misses with a right hand
and Popov counters with a nice body shot.
Diamond throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Diamond lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A big left from Diamond misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Diamond cracks Popov with a right hand to the side of the head.
Popov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A nice leg kick lands there from Diamond.
Diamond with a nice cross.
Diamond throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Popov stumbling backwards into the cage! Popov bounces back off the cage towards Diamond, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Diamond lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Diamond celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Joey Diamond!
