The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Antti Isotalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Isotalo shoots in looking for a takedown. Rodriguez tries to sprawl out of it but Isotalo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rodriguez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Rodriguez counters with a takedown into side control.

Isotalo tries to hold on but Rodriguez pushes him away.
Isotalo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Rodriguez avoids the attempt from Isotalo to control.
Rodriguez goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Isotalo turns into him and now he's in Rodriguez's guard.

Rodriguez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rodriguez looking for a triangle here. Isotalo is fighting it but it looks tight! Rodriguez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Isotalo is tapping out - this one is all over!
