6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruce Banner! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams looking to score a takedown here. Banner is defending well but Williams drives through and ends up in Banner's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Banner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Williams wants to control from the top but Banner keeps moving. Williams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

He's simply no match for Banner on the ground. Williams is looking for a triangle but Banner pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banner postures up.

Banner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Williams manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Banner has Williams in his guard. Banner looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Williams is defending well. Banner quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Williams has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Banner celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
