The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fire fakes the leg kick and cracks Silva in the body.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fire lands with a kick to the ribs.
Fire lands a leg kick that knocks Silva off balance momentarily.
Fire lands a nice looking kick to the body. Silva takes a step back to recover.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Fire circles away.
Fire is looking to land body kicks.
Fire shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fire.
Silva tries to bum rush Fire with a series of wild strikes but Fire uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fire lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Vitor Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Silva looks gassed!
Silva steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Fire. That one must have hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A thudding body kick lands there by Fire!
Fire lands a front kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Silva crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fire - the referee stops the clock and Silva gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fire. Silva manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Fire thuds his shin into the meat of Silva's side.
Fire lands a nice looking body kick.
Fire tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fire scores with a push kick.
Fire throws a nice outside leg kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Fire!
Fire connects with an inside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fire throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Silva throws a big shot that misses.
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fire makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fire thows a body kick. Silva tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Silva on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Fire connects with a solid leg kick.
Nice body kick there by Fire.
Fire throws a nice head kick!
Silva blocks a head kick by Fire.
Fire misses with a body kick.
Fire keeps the fight on the outside.
Fire chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fire counters with an inside leg kick.
Silva's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Fire misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Fire circles away.
Fire circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fire tries a head kick but it misses.
Fire throws a push kick but Silva slaps the foot to one side.
Fire throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Silva looks to land a combination but Fire avoids it well.

Silva rushes Fire and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva misses with a short punch on the inside.
Silva tries to pull guard but Fire won't allow it.
Rapid Fire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vitor Silva.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva looking for a takedown.
Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fire smiles and moves away.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fire pinned against the cage. Fire gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fire scores with a head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fire blocks the body kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fire throws a push kick but Silva slaps the foot to one side.
Silva is trying desperately to land a takedown but Fire is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Silva.
Silva checks the leg kick.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Silva swings wildly with an uppercut but Fire uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rapid Fire dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Fire which made him look bad.
Fire throws a push kick but Silva slaps the foot to one side.
Fire throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and moves out of range.
Fire thows a body kick. Silva tries to catch it but that hurt him.
The fighters circle, before Fire throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Silva's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Fire lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
