Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Domagoj Kovacic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovacic has chosen Ramones-Pet Sematary as his entrance music. Domagoj Kovacic struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacic is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kovacic misses with a takedown
and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Kovacic didn't expect that.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Kovacic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kovacic manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Kovacic's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jackson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jackson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kovacic screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jackson! Nice submission victory there!
