The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gangsta getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Machida is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Machida lands with an uppercut that bounces Gangsta off the cage and back into range.
Gangsta throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Machida scores with a push kick.

and Gangsta counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gangsta.
Gangsta prevents Machida from breaking the clinch.

Machida drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gangsta won't allow Machida to sweep him here.

Machida pushes Gangsta off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Machida shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gangsta as he jumps to the side.
Horrible takedown by Machida or perhaps it was just good defense by Gangsta which made him look bad.
Lyoto Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gangsta fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gangsta seems to be stalking Machida here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Machida drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
