Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aapeli Nahkapora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aapeli Nahkapora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Scott!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nahkapora tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Scott swivels and escapes.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Scott.
Nahkapora seems a little lost for a moment, as Scott dominates the positioning.
Nahkapora is looking to regain half guard here but Scott keeps moving and retains side control.
Nahkapora is not content to let Scott control the position.
Nahkapora manages to work his way to half guard, despite Scott's best efforts.
Scott wants to pass the guard but Nahkapora is defending well.
Nahkapora is looking for a sweep. Scott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nahkapora gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Scott counters by moving into the clinch.

Scott lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Scott content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Nahkapora wants to improve his position but Scott is controlling well.
Nahkapora is breathing heavily.
Scott seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Scott blocks the strikes from Nahkapora.
Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nahkapora. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nahkapora makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nahkapora.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Scott not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Scott drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Scott jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Nahkapora looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Scott wants to control from the top but Nahkapora keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Scott's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Nahkapora tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Scott slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Nahkapora.

Nahkapora is pressing down on Scott's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Scott postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nahkapora is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Scott is looking to stand up but Nahkapora won't let him.
Nahkapora is looking to sweep but instead, Scott has passed into half guard.
Nahkapora tries to roll over but Scott keeps him under control.
Scott controlling the action here.
Scott wants to control but Nahkapora is keeping him busy.
Scott is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Scott counters with an outside leg kick.

Nahkapora tries for a takedown but Scott circles away easily

and Scott counters with a takedown into side control.
Nahkapora can't do much from the bottom here.
Nahkapora tries to bench press Scott off him but Scott keeps the position.
Nahkapora sneaks back into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Scott decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

David Scott dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Scott is on top in guard.

Scott perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Nahkapora moves into full guard.
Nahkapora bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Scott's guard.

Nahkapora stops Scott from standing up.
Scott is breathing heavily.
Nahkapora is working Scott over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Nahkapora drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Scott dives on top into guard.

Nahkapora wriggles free and stands up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nahkapora is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Scott with him. Scott is trying to defend but Nahkapora has an arm under the chin now! Scott grimaces and is forced to tap out!
