The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Juntunen was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.

Juntunen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gracie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Gracie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie is looking to wear down Juntunen with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Gracie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Juntunen doesn't seem bothered though.
Juntunen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Juntunen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gracie.

Gracie waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Juntunen. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Juntunen to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Juntunen is still in real trouble! Can Gracie finish him?
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gracie postures up in Juntunen's guard and throws a big left but Juntunen blocks it.
Juntunen seems to have recovered his senses.
Gracie is pushing down on Juntunen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Juntunen is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gracie wants to take a breather but Juntunen is having none of it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Juntunen is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomi Juntunen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
