Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jared Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tazuki Hidetora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jared Curtis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tazuki Hidetora!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hidetora lands a body shot.
Hidetora throws a hook to the side of Curtis's head but Curtis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Curtis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Curtis tries to pass to full mount but Hidetora defends it.
Curtis is controlling the pace.
Hidetora is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Curtis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Curtis stops Hidetora from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Curtis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hidetora has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hidetora tries to roll over but Curtis keeps him under control.
Curtis trying to control from half guard but Hidetora is working away.
Curtis is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Curtis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hidetora really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Curtis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Curtis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Curtis seems to be working for a kimura but Hidetora defends the submission attempt.

Curtis is working for a submission of some sort.

Curtis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hidetora is just riding it out for now. Curtis eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Curtis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hidetora defends it well.

Curtis escapes and gets back to his feet.
Hidetora catches Curtis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Curtis fails to land the takedown.
Hidetora thuds his right hand into Curtis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Tazuki Hidetora is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hidetora takes the fight into the clinch.

Curtis breaks the clinch.
Hidetora is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Curtis misses with a takedown attempt - Hidetora sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Curtis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Curtis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hidetora's guard now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Curtis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Curtis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hidetora throws a jab when Curtis was well out of range.
Curtis fails with the takedown.
Curtis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Curtis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hidetora tries to avoid it but Curtis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hidetora to the ground. Hidetora escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jared Curtis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hidetora looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hidetora throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

No joy there for Hidetora, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Curtis doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hidetora counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hidetora looks like he's trying to stand up.

Curtis is trying to work for a kimura but Hidetora is defending well.

Curtis is looking for a kimura but Hidetora is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Curtis to get the leverage.

Hidetora wants to improve his position but Curtis is controlling well.

Curtis has gone for a leg lock! Hidetora slips out almost immediately though and dives into Curtis's guard.

Hidetora throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hidetora stuffs the takedown attempt from Curtis. Curtis gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Curtis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hidetora avoids it really well and circles away.

Hidetora tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Curtis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hidetora tests Curtis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hidetora looks to land a left hand but Curtis moved out of range nicely.
Curtis closes the distance and clinches up with Hidetora, looking for a takedown. Curtis pushes Hidetora against the cage but Hidetora circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hidetora takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Curtis shoots in for a takedown but Hidetora shows good takedown defense.
Hidetora lands a lovely overhand right.


Curtis is rocked!
Tazuki Hidetora seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hidetora tests Curtis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Oh Curtis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hidetora fakes the body blow, causing Curtis to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Curtis goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
