Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terro Wulf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wulf shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sonnen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sonnen gets back to full guard.

Wulf gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Sonnen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wulf is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sonnen, into his guard.

Sonnen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wulf would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sonnen pushes Wulf off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sonnen dives in and grabs Wulf's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wulf pushes down on Sonnen's head and hops out.
Wulf slaps away a takedown attempt from Sonnen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wulf is defended easily by Sonnen.
Wulf tries to clinch but Sonnen moves out of range.
Sonnen tries for a takedown but Wulf sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Terro Wulf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Sonnen.

Sonnen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Wulf pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Wulf lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Wulf jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sonnen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sonnen and Wulf has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wulf in particular looking to stall.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Wulf shoots in and drives through. Sonnen sprawls well.
Sonnen slaps away a takedown attempt from Wulf, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Wulf shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sonnen as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terro Wulf. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sonnen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wulf tries to avoid it but Sonnen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wulf to the ground. Wulf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sonnen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wulf tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wulf holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Sonnen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wulf has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wulf tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sonnen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sonnen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sonnen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wulf is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Wulf wants to stand and escape but Sonnen is having none of it.

Sonnen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sonnen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wulf is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wulf has escaped and now he's on top!

Sonnen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wulf defends well.
