Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke comes into the arena with Star Wars - Imperial March blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gray Son enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Locke avoids the head kick by Son.
Locke throws a jab when Son was well out of range. Son feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Locke's calf. Son lands a high kick!
Son throws a quick inside leg kick. Locke throws a hook but Son blocks it. Jab from Son. Son throws a right hand that Locke ducks under and follows up with a left that Locke also avoids with ease. Locke on the wrong end of a nice hook. Locke missing with a left hand there. Son was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Locke gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Son bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Locke's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Son misses the body punch and Locke cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Son throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Son throws a head kick that half lands.
Son throws a lazy right hand but Locke sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Decent striking displayed by Son there. Locke looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Locke is thwarting Son's attempts to control the position. Son is trying to get back to full guard. Locke in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Son tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Locke!
