Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Todd King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Stram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Todd King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taylor Stram!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stram has a takedown stuffed.
Stram shoots in for a double leg but King sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
King tries to land a body kick
so Stram counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Stram works a leg free and moves into half guard.
King is trying to maintain the position but Stram is very close to passing his half guard.
Stram is trying to work for a kimura but King is defending well.
King looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Stram stops King from getting back to his feet.
Stram missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stram looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stram working the head and body with strikes.

Stram passes the guard and advances to mount!

Stram is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. King is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. King flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Stram anticipates the leg and manages to get behind King and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Stram slips an arm under King chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Stram has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Stram is squeezing on King like an anaconda would it's prey. King fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Taylor Stram!
