Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allen McNerdson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McNerdson comes to the cage accompanied by Cadillac Pimpin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Allen McNerdson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James King!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNerdson gets a clinch.
McNerdson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McNerdson avoids it really well and circles away.
McNerdson misses the jab.
McNerdson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.

McNerdson drives through and clinches with King against the cage.

King breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by McNerdson.
Allen McNerdson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James King.
King looks for a takedown but McNerdson sprawls well.
James King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King tries to score a body lock takedown but McNerdson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

McNerdson seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Allen McNerdson.
King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McNerdson tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McNerdson to the ground. McNerdson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

King shoots in and drives through. McNerdson sprawls well.

King moves into the clinch successfully.
King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McNerdson is pressed up against the cage. King has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McNerdson down to the mat. McNerdson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
McNerdson wants to clinch.

McNerdson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McNerdson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from King.
King looking to throw knees to the head but McNerdson is blocking nicely.
King is working for takedown but McNerdson is calmly controlling the position for now.

King tries to work over McNerdson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McNerdson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning King up against the cage.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McNerdson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from King - the referee stops the clock and McNerdson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says King. McNerdson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

McNerdson can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

McNerdson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
