Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cantrell Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Trejo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trejo has chosen Dire Straits- Six Blade Knife as his entrance music. Danny Trejo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cantrell Willis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Trejo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trejo moves out of range as Willis throws a body kick.
Trejo tries to clinch up.
Trejo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Trejo wants to clinch but Willis slips to the side
and Willis counters with a left and a right that stings Trejo.
Trejo lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Cantrell Willis has been cut.

Trejo rushes Willis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Trejo lands a knee to the head.
Willis fails to pull guard.
Trejo has had enough of the clinch but Willis keeps him there for the moment.
Willis tries for a takedown. No joy.
Trejo stalling the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trejo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Willis is defending well for now.
Trejo unloads a knee to the mid-section. Willis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Trejo lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Trejo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Danny Trejo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trejo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Trejo fails with an attempt to clinch.

Trejo clinches up with Willis and pushes him back against the cage.
Willis wants to take the fight to the mat but Trejo manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cantrell Willis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trejo landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Trejo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Trejo lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Trejo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Willis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Trejo tries to clinch but Willis is having none of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trejo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Willis.

Willis tries to keep at a distance but Trejo has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Willis misses with a hook from the clinch.
Willis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Willis misses with the head strike.
Willis wants a takedown but no success here.
Trejo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Trejo breaks from the clinch.

Trejo has Willis up against the cage in a clinch.
Trejo putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Willis in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Willis takes an elbow to the temple.


Cantrell Willis's cut is getting worse.

Trejo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Willis swats away the attempt to clinch by Trejo.
Willis takes a head kick and keeps coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Trejo, right into the meat.
A head kick misses from Trejo.
Willis misses with an uppercut. Trejo saw that one coming.

Trejo moves into the clinch.
Trejo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Willis has him pressed against the cage.

Trejo breaks from the clinch.
Trejo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Trejo wants to clinch up but Willis keeps it at a distance.
Trejo connects with a high kick.


Cantrell Willis's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Trejo tries to clinch but Willis is having none of it.

and Willis counters with a single leg into guard. Trejo didn't expect that.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trejo wants to get back to his feet but Willis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Willis postures up in Trejo's guard and throws a big left but Trejo blocks it.
Willis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Trejo keeping moving, preventing Willis from controlling successfully.
Willis throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Trejo dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Cantrell Willis's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Trejo throws a lazy head kick

and Willis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Willis missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Willis trying to mount his opponent but Trejo defends it.
Willis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Trejo defending well though.
Trejo wants to get back to his feet.
Willis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Willis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trejo's head.
Willis thows a huge punch but Trejo dodges it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Willis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Willis not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Willis passes to full mount!
Willis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trejo is looking to escape.
Willis thowing shots but they're missing.
Willis misses with a head shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Willis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trejo wants to try and get back to his feet.
Trejo takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Willis's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cantrell Willis!
