Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Anselmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Chin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anselmo's entrance music is Mouth for War by Pantera. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Anselmo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Chin! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anselmo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Chin wants to stand and escape but Anselmo is having none of it. Anselmo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Anselmo stands and throws Chin's legs to the side, diving into side control. Anselmo controls the position. Anselmo is looking to take a break and control but Chin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chin is looking to reverse the position. Chin tries to escape but Anselmo is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anselmo throwing shots but missing, from side control. Anselmo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chin's legs. Chin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Anselmo.
Chin wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Some wild striking there from Chin.
Anselmo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chin tries to bum rush Anselmo with a series of wild strikes but Anselmo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Excellent takedown into side control there by Anselmo. Anselmo tries to move to mount but Chin blocks the move with his legs. Anselmo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Chin is working to avoid the ground and pound but Anselmo connects with a decent elbow. Chin can't do much from the bottom here. Anselmo throwing strikes but Chin manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Chin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anselmo keeps working. Anselmo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Anselmo sneaks back into half guard.

Chin stands and throws Anselmo's legs to the side, diving into side control. Anselmo is breathing heavily. Chin tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Anselmo regains half guard there - taking advantage of Chin's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Chin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anselmo keeps working. No joy there for Chin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chin throws a nice looking combination but Anselmo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Anselmo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Anselmo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Anselmo throwing strikes but Chin recovers to half guard. A much better position. Chin wants to get back to full guard. Chin is trying to control but can't.
Anselmo stalling away here and it's allowed Chin to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Chin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anselmo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anselmo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Anselmo tries to free his leg and advance position but Chin is retaining full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Anselmo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chin tries to avoid it but Anselmo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chin to the ground. Chin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Chin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anselmo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Anselmo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chin wants to get back to his feet but Anselmo drags him back down. Chin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Chin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Anselmo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Chin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Chin wants to improve his position but Anselmo is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Anselmo is looking for a kimura but Chin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Anselmo to get the leverage. Chin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Anselmo.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Anselmo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anselmo lands in his opponent's guard. Anselmo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chin! Chin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Anselmo, who protects the arm well. Anselmo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anselmo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chin sprawls well initially but Anselmo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chin pushes Anselmo off looking to stand but Anselmo dives back in and keeps control.

Chin is looking to stand up but Anselmo isn't so interested in that idea. Chin has his feet on Anselmo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Anselmo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Chin regains half guard, as Anselmo was trying to land strikes. Chin is trying to stand.

Anselmo throwing strikes but missing. Chin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Chin has momentary wrist control but Anselmo slips an elbow through the middle. Anselmo throwing strikes but missing. Anselmo with a flurry of punches that miss. Anselmo throws and elbow that misses. Chin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Anselmo's guard. Nice move by Chin! Anselmo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Chin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Anselmo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Anselmo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

BOOM! Anselmo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Chin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Chin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Anselmo punching from mount but Chin doing a good job of avoiding damage. Anselmo looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Chin is in a horrible position here. Anselmo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Anselmo with shots to the head and body - Chin looks very uncomfortable down there. Anselmo looking to ground and pound but Chin is blocking nicely. Chin regains half guard. Chin wants to get back to his feet. Chin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that's the end of the fight! Phil Anselmo showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anselmo, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
