Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Dalit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Stone! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalit fails to land with a series of punches.
Dalit swinging wilding here.
Stone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stone fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dalit throws a leg kick but Stone sees it coming and moves out of range. Dalit throws a series of punches but Stone moves out of range. Dalit misses with a double jab.
Dalit misses with a wild combination.
Stone throws a head kick that misses. Dalit rushes Stone and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stone has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dalit avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Dalit has clasped his hands together around Stone's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Stone is trying to get back to half guard. Dalit trying to control the position but Stone is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalit is really struggling to control Stone but he's trying to hold on to the position. Stone tries to buck Dalit off but Dalit is having none of it. Stone is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Stone explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dalit looks to land a combination but Stone avoids it well. Dalit drives through and clinches with Stone against the cage.
Stone gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dalit.
Dalit goes for a takedown attempt but Stone pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dalit takes a body punch but keeps moving. Stone looks for a takedown but Dalit sprawls well. No luck for Stone with that takedown attempt. Dexter Dalit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cody Stone. Stone looks gassed! Stone tries to clinch but Dalit is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalit misses with a two punch combination.
Stone is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dalit. Danga de danga de dang - Dalit scores with a four punch combination! Dalit throws a series of punches but Stone avoids them all with ease. Dalit lands a two punch combo.
Dalit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A head kick misses from Stone. Dalit looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dalit closes the distance and lands a one-two. Stone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dalit has Stone up against the cage in a clinch.
Dalit gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stone wants to improve his position but Dalit is controlling well.
Dalit takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone tries to roll over but Dalit keeps him under control. Dalit is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dexter Dalit dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dalit throws a leg kick but Stone moved away. Dalit scores with a takedown into Stone's guard. Dalit pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stone looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dalit prevents Stone from getting back to his feet. Stone is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Dalit looking to pass the guard. Stone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stone with a lazy takedown attempt and Dalit counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dalit tightens his grip and picks Stone up, before dumping him to the ground. Stone manages to land in guard. Stone is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Stone trying to keep a closed guard but Dalit is proving a slippery customer.
Dalit won't allow Stone to sweep him here.

Stone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dalit can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet. Dalit passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Stone is looking to control Dalit's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stone avoid being mounted? Dalit is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dexter Dalit dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Stone gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dalit. Dalit throws a nice looking combination but Stone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dalit tests Stone's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dexter Dalit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dalit tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stone paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stone misses with a takedown and Dalit holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Dalit gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stone regains guard.
Dalit controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dalit wants to pass the guard but Stone is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dalit trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Stone looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dalit puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Stone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stone tries to roll over but Dalit keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dalit is thwarting Stone's attempts to control the position. Dalit content to control rather than advance. Stone is looking to get back to full guard here but Dalit has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalit tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Dalit's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Dalit seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stone for as long as he can get away with. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dalit fails to take his opponent's back. Dalit controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dalit has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Dexter Dalit showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dalit has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
