Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kusunoki Masakado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davidson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kids - Sleigh Kids kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tim Davidson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kusunoki Masakado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson throws a jab when Masakado was well out of range.
Masakado clobbers Davidson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Masakado fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Davidson manages to avoid it.
Davidson misses with a hook. Masakado ducked under it nicely.
Davidson avoids the body shot from Masakado.
Davidson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Masakado quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davidson is trying to control the action in half guard but Masakado is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davidson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Masakado looking to break Davidson 's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Davidson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Masakado will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Masakado wants to improve his position but Davidson is controlling well.
Davidson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Masakado defend it? Davidson steps over the head and cranks it - Masakado is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Davidson !
