Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raegan Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and lee kiesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raegan Penn had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. lee kiesel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raegan Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, lee kiesel! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Penn throws a push kick but kiesel slaps the foot to one side. kiesel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Penn counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Penn tries to stand and escape but kiesel is controlling the position. Penn is breathing heavily. kiesel is looking to improve his position.
Penn tries to stand but can't do so whilst kiesel controls his leg. kiesel controlling the position for now. kiesel looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. kiesel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Penn is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. kiesel wants to get back to full guard. kiesel makes his way to full guard. A much better position for kiesel. kiesel tries to land a sweep but no joy. kiesel looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now kiesel is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Penn is trying to keep kiesel in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. kiesel showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. kiesel wants to pass the guard but Penn is keeping the position. Penn wants to get back to his feet but kiesel is in a dominant position and won't allow it. kiesel looking to pass the guard. Penn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as kiesel controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Penn throws his legs up looking for a submission but kiesel uses it to pass to side control.
kiesel is staying tight to Penn's torso, preventing him from escaping. Penn prevents kiesel from improving position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Penn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Raegan Penn will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That's one minute gone in the round. kiesel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Penn is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. kiesel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, lee kiesel just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. kiesel gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Penn counters with a nice double leg into guard. kiesel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Penn! Penn sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Penn is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but kiesel pulls his head out easily. kiesel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Penn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Penn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Penn looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but kiesel puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. kiesel sitting and controlling from the half guard. kiesel prevents Penn from standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. kiesel is figuring out what he wants to do next. Penn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. kiesel is working away from the top position though. Penn wants to get back to full guard. Penn is refusing to be controlled, as kiesel sits in half guard. Penn tries to get to full guard but kiesel has control of the leg. Penn trying to control but kiesel postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. kiesel buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raegan Penn dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Penn drives through with a takedown into guard. Penn throwing strikes but missing. Penn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. kiesel is keeping the position for now. kiesel pulls Penn in to control the position. kiesel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Penn tries to stand but kiesel is controlling from the bottom. Raegan Penn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. kiesel wriggles free and stands up. Penn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Penn wants to clinch up but kiesel keeps it at a distance. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn misses with a takedown attempt and kiesel counters into the clinch. Nicely done. kiesel prevents Penn from breaking the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Penn wants to get back to striking at distance but kiesel won't allow it.
kiesel pulls guard effortlessly. Penn stands and throws kiesel's legs to the side, diving into side control. kiesel is looking to regain half guard here but Penn keeps moving and retains side control. kiesel is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Penn off and has taken his back! Penn is really stuck here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn is taking damage to the body and head. kiesel slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
kiesel misses with punches from the back. kiesel controls the position. kiesel has the hooks in. Penn is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. kiesel looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Penn is defending well. kiesel quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Penn has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! kiesel celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
