The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holiday moves in looking to clinch but Winter pushes him off. Holiday shoots in but Winter avoids the takedown attempt easily. Holiday is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Winter shoots in and bounces Holiday off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Winter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Winter is fighting to break Holiday's control of his arms but Holiday is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Winter content to stall in guard here. Holiday wants to stand but Winter is controlling the position. Winter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Andrew Winter has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Winter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Holiday has Winter pulled in close to control his posture. Winter throwing strikes but missing. Holiday pulls Winter in close to prevent any damage.

We're going to have a standup here because Manny Holiday wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Holiday forces Winter back against the cage and clinches. Winter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Holiday regains guard immediately. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Holiday working a defensive guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Manny Holiday just wasn't active enough. Holiday scores a takedown into full mount! Holiday get's back to his feet. Winter moves into the clinch. Winter avoiding damage as Holiday throws knees to the body.
Holiday gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Holiday content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Holiday wants to stand and escape but instead Winter has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Winter throws a strike but Holiday rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Winter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Winter! Winter fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Holiday regains half guard, as Winter was trying to land strikes. Winter is trying to control the action in half guard but Holiday is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Winter decides to stand and escape the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Manny Holiday will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Holiday fails with the takedown. Winter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Holiday keeping control of the position. Winter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Holiday doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Winter. Winter is trying to work for a kimura but Holiday is defending well.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Holiday is controlling Winter's posture. Winter postures up in Holiday's guard and throws a big left but Holiday blocks it. Winter scoring with some ground and pound. Winter working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Holiday's head. Winter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Holiday looks panicked! Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Holiday is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Winter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Winter tries to buck Holiday off but Holiday is having none of it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Holiday postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Andrew Winter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Winter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Holiday was covering up waiting for the punch and Winter finishes the takedown easily into guard. Winter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Winter with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Winter looking to sit in guard and control but Holiday gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Holiday trying to control but Winter is working from the bottom. Winter trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Holiday, into his guard. Winter trying to control the position from guard on top but Holiday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Holiday pulls Winter in close to prevent any damage. Holiday wants to stand up but Winter is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holiday has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Winter wants to stand but Holiday is controlling his posture from full guard.

Holiday swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Winter is now in Holiday's guard. A big mistake from Holiday there, giving up the dominant position! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Winter trying to move into half guard but instead Holiday has managed to sweep!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holiday wants to pass the guard but Winter is keeping the position. Holiday wants to control from the top but Winter keeps moving. Holiday throws an elbow that misses. Winter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Holiday's guard. Nice move by Winter! Holiday looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holiday preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
