The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimmy tries to close the distance and clinch but Parker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Parker tries to clinch there but Jimmy circles away.
Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Parker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jimmy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Parker gets the takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Parker working the ground and pound.
Jimmy sneaks back into half guard.
Parker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jimmy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Parker is trying to control the action in half guard but Jimmy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parker is thwarting Jimmy's attempts to control the position.
Parker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jimmy keeps working.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jimmy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parker pulls his head out easily.
Parker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jimmy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Parker is pressing down on Jimmy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jimmy is holding on for now.
Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jimmy on the ground.
Jimmy manages to get to full guard.

Jimmy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Parker is aware though and is defending well.
Parker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Parker throws a big right hand that misses.
