Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lafor Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dead Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lafor Saint! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dead Kennedy! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy tries for a takedown but Saint sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Saint tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kennedy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Saint tries to close the distance and clinch but Kennedy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kennedy. Kennedy shoots in but Saint avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lafor Saint has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dead Kennedy. Saint fails with an attempt to clinch.
Saint tries to clinch but Kennedy is having none of it. Kennedy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Saint tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Saint moves in looking to clinch but Kennedy pushes him off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kennedy dodges the punch combination from Saint.
Saint tries to clinch up but Kennedy circles away and keeps his distance. Kennedy shoots in for a takedown but Saint shows good takedown defense. Saint doesn't manage to clinch there - Kennedy circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lafor Saint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saint moves in looking to clinch but Kennedy pushes him off. Saint is looking to clinch but Kennedy is avoiding it.
Saint tries to clinch up but Kennedy circles away and keeps his distance. Kennedy moves into range and clinches up with Saint. Saint creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Saint pushes off an throws an elbow but Kennedy leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Kennedy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kennedy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kennedy controlling Saint's posture. Kennedy has his foot on Saint's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Saint works his way back into a safe position though. Saint is looking to stand up but Kennedy won't let him. Kennedy trying to strike off his back.
Saint trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kennedy's guard. Kennedy has Saint pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saint wants to stand and escape but instead Kennedy has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Saint is looking to stand up but Kennedy isn't so interested in that idea. Kennedy forces his way into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kennedy lands a nice short elbow. Saint wants to get back to his feet.
Kennedy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Saint is breathing heavily. Kennedy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Saint is trying to stand.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kennedy in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy stands up and beckons Saint to join him on the feet. Kennedy fails with the takedown. Saint tries to clinch up and Kennedy counters by clinching up. Kennedy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kennedy closes the distance and clinches up with Saint, looking for a takedown. Kennedy pushes Saint against the cage but Saint circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Saint tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kennedy counters with a shoot takedown. Saint fights it but they end up in guard. Saint is looking to stand back up but Kennedy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Saint. Saint pushes Kennedy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kennedy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Saint knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kennedy on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kennedy advances to full mount. Saint trying desperately to get to his feet.
Kennedy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Saint trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Kennedy controlling the position easily from mount. Saint is trying to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dead Kennedy dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The referee will try and keep them active though. Saint is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kennedy controlling from side mount. Saint is trying to buck Kennedy off.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Saint tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kennedy counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kennedy wants to pass the guard but Saint is defending well. Kennedy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Saint tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kennedy manages to move to mount!
Kennedy controlling from the full mount. Saint wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saint tries to buck Kennedy off but Kennedy takes his back! Saint might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kennedy working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Saint is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Kennedy has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Saint taps out!
