Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Kesler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by Tourniquet . Kesler has chosen Cancer Bats - Deathsmarch as his entrance music. Ryan Kesler acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Kesler!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee slips a straight right by Kesler.
Lee throws a big shot that misses.
Kesler throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kesler. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lee misses with a straight right.
Kesler scores with a jab.
Kesler dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lee misses with an uppercut.

Lee gets a takedown into half guard.
Kesler gets full guard.
Lee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee throws a big right hand that misses.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kesler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kesler manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ryan Kesler has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Lee takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Lee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kesler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kesler circles away quickly and effectively.
Lee lands the left hand.
Lee throws the left hand but Kesler avoids the punch easily.

Kesler feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Kesler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kesler!
Kesler wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Lee.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee looking to finish Kesler with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kesler!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ryan Kesler will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kesler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lee throws out a loose jab but Kesler uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lee jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Kesler cracks Lee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kesler fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Lee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lee there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kesler connects with a body shot that sends Lee's belly button to the back.
Kesler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but Kesler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kesler gets a double leg takedown into Lee's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope that Kesler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kesler is pushing down on Lee's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lee is fighting to maintain full guard but Kesler has managed to sneak the leg through.

Ryan Kesler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kesler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
