19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Aj Styles! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Styles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Styles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Woods at a distance.
Styles takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Woods thows a body shot but no joy. Woods throws a right hand that Styles ducks under and follows up with a left that Styles also avoids with ease. Woods lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Styles slips a jab from Woods. Woods throws a jab but it's blocked by Styles. A big left from Woods misses. Woods misses with a wild body shot. Woods thows a body shot but no joy. Woods scores with the left hand. Styles knows he should have avoided that one. Jab, jab by Woods - just one landing.

Styles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Woods thuds his right hand into Styles's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Woods fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Styles.

Woods misses with a left hand and Styles counters with a takedown into side control. Woods gets back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woods regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woods pulls Styles in to control the position. Styles throws an elbow that misses. Woods uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Styles's guard. Nice move by Woods! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Styles pushes Woods off and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Woods, as that shot connected.

A wild punch that just about connected. Woods throws a right and a left that both miss. Styles closes the distance and pushes Woods back into the cage. Styles has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Woods after a bit of a struggle. A right handed body shot lands from Styles.

Woods fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Styles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Styles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woods.

Woods manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Woods scores with a nice head shot. Styles walks into a stiff left hand from Woods. Wooooo! He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Woods to score with a decent uppercut. Styles walks into a straight right hand from Woods. Styles tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Styles goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like James Woods has been cut. Styles's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Woods fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Styles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
And that's the end of the fight! James Woods showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Woods, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
