Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Niklas Larssen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Monster Jam! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Jam misses the target. Larssen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Larssen misses with a takedown attempt - Jam sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jam wants to clinch up but Larssen keeps it at a distance. Jam misses with a looping left. Jam looks to clinch and Larssen counters with a nice leg kick. Jam moves into the clinch. Larssen throws a knee to the head but misses.
Jam looks to throw an elbow but misses. Jam has Larssen pressed against the cage, preventing Larssen from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Larssen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jam gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jam is fighting it off but Larssen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jam's guard against the cage. Jam controls Larssen momentarily but Larssen frees himself.

Larssen sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Larssen trying to hold on to Jam's head to control him but Jam postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Larssen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Larssen working a defensive guard but Jam manages to pass into side control anyway.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jam wants to lay and pray for a moment but Larssen keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Monster Jam. Jam pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jam tries to clinch there but Larssen circles away.

Monster Jam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jam looks to throw the jab but Larssen is out of range. Jam moves in looking to clinch but Larssen pushes him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Larssen swats away the attempt to clinch by Jam. A big right from Jam misses. Jam tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Larssen digs a good body shot into Jam's ribs. Jam tries to clinch up but Larssen circles away and keeps his distance. Larssen has taken the fight to the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Larssen breaks the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Larssen's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jam tries a knee to the head but Larssen blocks it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Larssen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Larssen misses with a body shot.
Jam tries to clinch up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Larssen moves into the clinch. Jam tries a knee to the head but Larssen blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Niklas Larssen will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Larssen paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jam fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jam is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Larssen moves into range and clinches up with Jam. Jam misses with a knee to the head. Jam content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Larssen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jam tries to clinch up and Larssen counters by clinching up. A bit of stalling here from Larssen.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Jam is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Larssen has denied him. Larssen tries to pull guard but Jam forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Larssen breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jam has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jam pushes off an throws an elbow but Larssen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Larssen blocks the elbow strike.

Larssen keeps the fight on the outside. A head kick misses from Larssen. Larssen moves out of range of the strikes. Jam closes the distance looking to clinch and Larssen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Larssen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Larssen has managed to clinch.
Jam misses with a knee to the head. Jam using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Larssen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jam has Larssen pressed against the cage, preventing Larssen from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Larssen trying to control the position but instead, Jam has worked for underhooks and has pushed Larssen into the cage. Larssen manages to pull guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Niklas Larssen will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Larssen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Larssen prevents Jam from improving his position.
We're going to have a standup here because Niklas Larssen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jam is looking to clinch but Larssen is avoiding it.

Larssen throws a leg kick but Jam sees it coming and checks it nicely. Monster Jam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jam is looking to clinch but Larssen is avoiding it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Larssen has had enough of the clinch but Jam keeps him there for the moment. Jam tries to land a knee to the head but Larssen blocks with his arms.
Monster Jam has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Niklas Larssen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Larssen is trying to break free. Larssen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jam just stands there and leans against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Monster Jam. I think Larssen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
